SANDAKAN: A 25-year-old foreigner was killed in a road accident involving three vehicles at Mile 15, Jalan Labuk, on Saturday evening.

District police chief ACP Ashmon Bajah said the incident occurred around 5.55pm when a Proton Saga FLX lost control while travelling from Mile 16 towards the Mile 14 roundabout.

The vehicle struck a road divider, overturned, and collided with a motorcycle coming from the opposite direction.

The motorcyclist was pronounced dead while receiving treatment at the Duchess of Kent Hospital, and the case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
