Lenovo has officially announced the Motorola Razr Fold, which competes directly against Samsung Galaxy Z Fold lineup.

Announced at Lenovo Tech World 2026 in conjunction with CES 2026, this is Motorola’s first book-style foldable, expanding the Razr smartphone brand beyond its familiar clamshell and candy bar form factor.

Although the full specs, pricing and availability details have yet to be revealed, where’s what has been announced so far.

The Razr Fold gets a 6.6″ cover display and when unfolded, it reveals a large 8.1″ 2K LTPO display. It is worth noting that both displays are 0.1″ larger than what’s currently offered on the Galaxy Z Fold 7.

The foldable device gets a triple-camera setup at the rear, featuring a 50MP main camera, 50MP ultra-wide-angle shooter with macro support and a 50MP periscope telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom.

While Samsung removed S Pen support on the Z Fold 7, the Motorola Razr Fold is making stylus support standard with their Moto Pen Ultra which is packaged separately. The Moto Pen Ultra has pressure sensor and tilt detection, and it charges in its dedicated charging case. The stylus is also compatible with the Motorola Signature smartphone.

For selfies, the cover display has a 32MP front camera, while the internal screen comes with a 20MP shooter that sits in a punch-hole on the top right corner.

According to Lenovo, the Razr Fold features Sony LYTIA image sensor and supports Dolby Vision recording with video stabilisation.

As expected with current smartphone brands, Lenovo is boasting on-device AI features for the Motorola Razr Fold which include Catch me up and Next Move. Being a large screen multi-tasking oriented device, it supports flexible layouts, adaptive interfaces and intuitive controls that work with the Moto Pen Ultra stylus.

When you think of Razr, you would probably think of an ultra-thin device, however, no dimensions or weight figures have been revealed so far.

With no mention of the processor, it remains unclear whether the Razr Fold will run on Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 or on an alternative flagship processor from MediaTek. Equally cruicial is the battery capacity, which is still under wraps.

In terms of colours, the Motorola Razr Fold comes in Pantone Blackened Blue and Pantone Lily White.
