Baby Do Die Do is a 2026 Indian Hindi-language action thriller film directed by Nachiket Samant and produced by Saleem Siblings and Pune 04 Picture. It stars Huma Qureshi, Sikander Kher and Chunky Panday in pivotal roles.

Look, I'll be honest. When I first heard the title Baby Do Die Do, I thought it was some nursery rhyme gone horribly wrong. But trust me; this 2026 Hindi action thriller directed by Nachiket Samant is anything but kiddish.

The premise is simple enough for any of us who have taken a Mumbai local - two twin sisters, one of them Baby, who is deaf and mute. Their father was a rickshaw driver who drank himself to death, mother barely holding it together. Life has already kicked them around. So what do they do? Like any two curious teenagers in Mumbai, they go exploring an abandoned five-star hotel. Because why not? That's where the trouble starts. They stumble upon a murder - severed ear, blood trail, big Red Cross on a door. Classic horror movie mistake - instead of running, they peek. And the killer does what killers do. Baby's sister is gone. And from there, it's Baby's turn.

Now this is where the film wins. Huma Qureshi as Baby doesn't say a single word and still says everything. No loud dialogues, no background monologues about "ek aurat kya kar sakti hai." (What is a woman capable of doing?) She just does it. That tiny anklet her sister tied to her leg so she wouldn't get lost - that detail alone hit me harder than any 10-minute emotional speech in most Bollywood films.

Huma is just fantastic. She walks around neon-lit, gritty, rainy Mumbai with a weaponized red umbrella like she owns the place. And honestly, she does. It's stylish, it's slick, and it looks damn good. The way they have shot Mumbai locals, the chawls, the dark alleys - it's not that glossy Yash Raj Mumbai. It's our Mumbai. Crowded, sweaty, but beautiful in its own chaos.

Yes, does the story get predictable? A little. If you've grown up watching revenge dramas on Zee Cinema on a Sunday afternoon, you'll guess the twists. The romance track feels like it was added because someone in the production said "thoda love angle daal dete hain." And the climax doesn't punch as hard as it should.

But you know what? I don't care. Because for once we have a female-led action film that doesn't try to be a copy of Alpha or Pathaan. And the cheek of it - releasing right alongside Alpha and putting a song called "ALPHA Q?" in it. That's balls. That's the kind of tongue-in-cheek confidence I love.

Chunky Panday as the handler is hilarious. Some of the comic bits actually land, which is rare. The music, the color palette, the mood - it all keeps you hooked. Is it perfect? No. Continuity slips here and there. But it's entertaining, it's got heart, and it shows what happens when a woman decides she's had enough. She doesn't shout. She doesn't wait for the system. She just picks up her umbrella and gets to work.

One-time watch? Absolutely. But a damn good one-time watch that leaves you smiling.
