West Ham boss David Moyes was delighted with his players after their draw with Arsenal.
Arsenal blew a 2-0 lead - and missed a penalty - as they drew 2-2 at West Ham.
A close-range finish from Gabriel Jesus and Martin Odegaard's volley had the visitors 2-0 inside the opening 10 minutes. But West Ham fought back first via a Said Benrahma penalty, won by Lucas Paqueta, and then Jarrod Bowen's equaliser.
Between West Ham's goals, Bukayo Saka missed from the spotfollowing Michail Antonio's handball.
Afterwards, Moyes said: "Great performance by the players. We were 2-0 down but to come back against Arsenal the way they are playing and, after playing on Thursday, is good. I thought we went quite hard early on but their play was good and we could have done better with tracking a couple of runners.
"The biggest thing was to make sure we got back and we did. We could have folded but the players kept going. We get the penalty kick and that got us back in the game. That gave us a chance and made us feel like we could do it. The midfield boys were incredible with the work they put in to stop Arsenal dominating.
"They got crosses in quite easily and got in at at the back post a couple times but I felt if we could turn them and keep the pressure up we would do OK.
"It looked like a hand ball and the minute I saw it on the screen I thought it was a penalty. If Arsenal go 3-1 up it was going to be difficult for us to get the game back. Then we got the goal and by the end we missed couple chances but I'm thrilled with the draw and it's a good result."
