Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh) [India], July 6 (ANI): Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Monday laid the foundation stone of the Satgarhi Smart Industrial Park and Convention Centre in Bhopal on the occasion of the 125th birth anniversary of Dr Syama Prasad Mookerjee.

Mookerjee founded the Bharatiya Jana Sangh on October 21, 1951, the ideological predecessor of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

CM Yadav also announced that the industrial park would be named after Dr Mookerjee, India's first Industry Minister, stressing that the project would generate over 15,000 jobs and mark a major step towards developing a new industrial corridor around the state capital.

"We deliver on what we promise. The industrial areas being developed across the state will create new avenues of prosperity for farmers, generate employment opportunities for youth and strengthen industries. Our government is connecting farms to factories and industries to markets," the Chief Minister said.

The CM further informed that a modern convention centre with a seating capacity of 10,000 will be developed over 25 acres at Satgarhi and it will be the largest convention centre in Madhya Pradesh. The Satgarhi Smart Industrial Park is located just 25 kilometres from Raja Bhoj Airport and 15 kilometres from Rani Kamalapati Railway Station. The proposed Western Bypass of Bhopal will also pass through the area.

Speaking on the Uniform Civil Code, CM Yadav said the state government is moving ahead with its implementation this month.

"Syama Prasad Mookerjee envisioned 'One Nation, One Constitution, One Flag, One Head'. In line with that vision, the state government is moving ahead with the implementation of the Uniform Civil Code this month. The law should be the same for every section of society. The committee constituted for this purpose sought suggestions from members of all religions and communities to ensure that no one is subjected to discrimination," he said.

Additionally, the Chief Minister added that Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) worth Rs 86,000 crore had been signed with investors since January during the state's "Krishak Kalyan Varsh", generating employment opportunities across the state. (ANI)
