SANDAKAN: The Federal Housing and Local Government Ministry is urged to look into the inappropriate waste disposal sites in the district.
Sandakan Member of Parliament Vivian Wong urged such action to be taken to ensure a clean and healthy environment for the people of Sandakan.
She issued the statement after receiving feedback from the Federal Housing and Local Government Deputy Minister, Akmal Nasrullah Mohd Nasir, on the issue of air and water pollution in Sandakan caused by disorganised and improper waste disposal during a question and answer session in Parliament.
