MPAJ takes action against errant businesses

SHAH ALAM, Sept 9 - The Ampang Jaya Municipal Council (MPAJ) issued 14 compounds, carried out five seizures and served seven notices over abandoned vehicles obstructing public areas during an enforcement operation on September 7 in various locations across the municipality.

The council said the operation was led by its Enforcement Department to ensure all the premises comply with existing laws.

The operation was focused on auto shops and other business premises around the Lembah Jaya, AU3, Bandar Baru Ampang and Pandan Mewah areas.

“This operation involved inspections of 40 vehicle workshops and 15 other business premises to ensure compliance with the set regulations and by-laws,” it posted on Facebook.

MPAJ said it will continue to conduct regular monitoring and enforcement action to ensure that businesses run in an orderly manner, while keeping the urban spaces clean, safe and orderly.
