MPOWER, the local retail electricity supplier of Manila Electric Co. (Meralco), on Wednesday said that it had signed an energy supply deal with concrete manufacturer Big Ben Group to power some of the latter’s plants in Pulilan, Bulacan.
"We support Big Ben Group’s growth by providing the energy solutions and expertise needed to strengthen operational performance and long-term resilience,” MPower head Redel Domingo said in a statement.
“By ensuring a stable and reliable power supply, we help create the conditions for businesses to focus on what they do best and continue creating value for their customers and communities,” he added.
Big Ben Group Chairman Eusebio Pacifico Garcia said, "Energy reliability and cost efficiency are fundamental to how we operate and compete. We cannot promise excellence to our clients if we do not secure excellence in our own operations.”
“Partnering with a trusted provider like MPower strengthens the foundation of our business and supports our long-term vision for growth and resilience,” he added.
The Big Ben Group manufactures and supplies ready-mix concrete and delivers support for construction developments ranging from residential projects to major and commercial infrastructure.
The company said the collaboration with MPower would strengthen operational continuity across its facilities by helping ensure efficient production and timely delivery of projects that support communities it serves.
Shares of MPower parent firm Meralco rose by P3 to close at P482 each on Wednesday.
