
SHAH ALAM, Aug 13 - The Selayang Municipal Council (MPS) received the Public Service Excellence Recognition award at the Waste Management Association of Malaysia (WMAM) Annual Conference, held at Genting International Convention Centre, Pahang, on Monday.
The award was accepted by MPS president Shahman Jalaludin.
MPS, in a Facebook post on Tuesday, said the recognition is a meaningful one for the council as it works to improve service delivery quality and cement its role in doing the best for the people.
“Congratulations and well done to the MPS community for this accomplishment; may this recognition boost our motivation to keep empowering the quality and effective delivery of municipality services,” it added.
The WMAM Annual Conference this year was themed “Circular Transformation: Waste to Value”, and gathered representatives from various industries, government agencies and stakeholders to discuss developments and new approaches in sustainability and waste management.
