Cable theft near Damansara Damai Station disrupts MRT Putrajaya Line, with Rapid Rail aiming for full restoration within three days.

KUALA LUMPUR: Rapid Rail Sdn Bhd is undertaking comprehensive repair work on the MRT Putrajaya Line’s power supply following a cable theft incident detected early this morning near Damansara Damai Station.

The rail operator confirmed the theft has caused a service disruption requiring extensive repairs to ensure a safe and stable resumption of operations.

Rapid Rail stated that operations are expected to recover in stages, with a full restoration targeted within three days.

To assist affected passengers, the company is providing alternative train services and free shuttle bus services during the repair period.

Passengers are advised to use alternative rail routes where possible to continue their journeys.

The latest operational updates will be shared periodically via Rapid KL’s social media channels and the MyRapid PULSE application.
