Muafakat Nasional makes its presence felt with a big sign board at Damas3 next to Agong's Palace to make an impact on the political landscape.

Recently, they hoisted a large Muafakat Nasional sign board on to the third floor of a shop lot right across Plaza Damas, around the corner from the back entrance to the national palace.

The sign board is the biggest of all on that block. You can't miss it. If you were to enter Hartamas from Jalan Duta, Damas3 is immediately after the gate to Agong's Palace.

Obviously, Mufakat Nasional is trying to make an impact. Judging by the size of the signage and the site chosen for its headquarters, it is clearly trying to gain attention from the public.

The address for Mufakat Nasional is B-1-18, Plaza Damas, 3, Jalan Sri Hartamas 1, Bukit Damansara, 50480 Wilayah Persekutuan, Wilayah Persekutuan, Kuala Lumpur.

Recently, Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, former PM, now self-appointed champion of Malay Proclamation, met Annuar Musa, who heads Mufakat Nasional Annuar agreed to sign the Malay Proclamation and is now a signatory of the document along with many others, including Hadi Awang of PAS.

So, what is the agenda of Mufakat Nasional in the current context? Is it going to be used to mobilise Malay support at the grassroots level? If it was the case, then linking up with Malay Proclamation is probably the best option.

Tun Mahathir would certainly need an NGO like Mufakat Nasional to help rally Malay support for his Proclamation and act as a pressure group to get attention from the government of the day.

So far, there is synergy between MN and Malay Proclamation agenda. Once Annuar Musa is in PAS these two elements will be a formidable force to help secure support for the "Green Wave" movement that Tun Mahathir has been pushing for lately convincing non Malays that Malay led government is a plus and not to be feared.

Anyway, Mufakat Nasional is a new kid on the block with extensive network nationwide to lend support to Tun Dr Mahathir and other Malay based parties capture seats in forthcoming state elections.

Now you know why Mufakat Nasional has to make its presence felt by being right next door to the Agong's Palace.
