Much Ado About Nothing at Kedah Fashion Week Over 'bra-less' Transwoman Who Is Not Even A Model.

News that action was to be taken against the organisers of Kedah Fashion Week 2022 (KFW22) for allegedly featuring a scantily-clad model, turned out to be much ado about nothing because the model was not even part of the show.
It started when several photos went viral on social media where a model was seen in a revealing unbuttoned green blazer without any undergarment.
Wow, this is Alor Setar in rural conservative Kedah! This is not Milan or Paris say netizens. That set tongues wagging. But for all, we know the person could have worn skin-coloured body stockings just to attract attention.
State Health and Local Government committee chairman Mohd Hayati Othman said they would summon organisers because they had received complaints about this a scantily-clad model. The photos were allegedly taken during the KFW2022 event held at a shopping mall in Alor Setar from Aug 5 to Aug 7.
However, according to Vibes, it turned out that the person concerned was a transwoman with no affiliation with Kedah Fashion Week (KFW22).
Apparently, the person had taken the photos that went viral on stage, modelling their own clothes, after the event was over using KFW22 as a backdrop.
Once the identity of the person was revealed State Health and Local Government committee chairman Mohd Hayati Othman commented that he was made to understand that the individual in question was "not a participant who was invited to exhibit clothes in the KFW event,” he said.
Also, he went on to describe this person as someone who often posts his own photos in scandalous outfits on social media.
So much fuss over nothing!
Now, because of this person, everyone on social media talks about Kedah Fashion Week. In fact, the whole country is talking about KFW2022 because of this scantily clad model.
The least the authorities in Kedah could do is to thank this person for successfully promoting the event single-handedly with hardly any advertising cost at all.
The organisers too should engage this model to help promote KFW2023 using outrageous clothes to get more to attend this event next year in a state known more for its ricefields than fancy clothes.
Go, Green Blazer! All you need now is some yellow to make it a real Kedah outfit "Hijau Kuning" like its football team!
