Kota Kinabalu: PN Chairman Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin has rebuked "irresponsible" accusations levelled by caretaker Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yakob against him and PN ministers for making the federal government untenable and forcing the dissolution of Parliament, but given his blessings to a continued cooperation in Sabah's GRS-BN government, of which Ismail's Umno and Muhyiddin's Bersatu are components.

"It’s highly irresponsible to pin the blame on me and the cabinet for what has happened especially because Umno and Barisan Nasional are facing attacks from the public for calling for the election during the flood season," he said.

Ismail earlier issued a statement that the actions of 12 of his ministers had caused splits in his government after they issued a letter to the King to state their stand against holding the next General Election this year.

Muhyiddin has also given his approval on the unique working relationship of GRS and BN in the State.
