
KUALA LUMPUR — Bersatu will contest 24 seats in the upcoming Negeri Sembilan state election, with party information chief Datuk Tun Faisal Ismail Aziz and incumbent Datuk Seri Megat D. Shahriman Zaharudin among its key candidates.
Bersatu president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin announced the party’s full slate today, confirming the candidates who will contest under the party’s own logo rather than the Perikatan Nasional (PN) banner.
Tun Faisal, who is also a member of Bersatu’s Supreme Leadership Council, has been named to contest Sikamat, while Megat Shahriman will defend Seri Menanti.
Megat Shahriman is the sitting assemblyman for Seri Menanti and previously served as the Negeri Sembilan opposition leader.
Other prominent candidates include Datuk V. Saravanan Kumar Veerasamy, who will contest Nilai, and Dato’ Haji Zamri Md Said, who will contest Linggi.
Under the Seremban parliamentary constituency, Bersatu will field Tun Faisal in Sikamat, Noor'Azah Harun in Ampangan, Datuk V. Saravanan Kumar Veerasamy in Nilai and Fazly Hamid in Temiang.
In the Rasah parliamentary constituency, the party has named Mohamad Hanifah Abu Baker for Labu, Tang Jay Son for Rahang, Sarawanan Nagayah for Mambau and Mahendran Ramasamy for Seremban Jaya.
For Jempol, Bersatu’s candidates are Sri Sanjeevan Ramakrishnan for Jeram Padang, Muhammad Noraffendy Mohd Salleh for Serting and Rebin Birham for Palong.
In Jelebu, the party will field Muhammad Adib Musa in Klawang, Mohd Faizal Fadli Mohd Idrus in Pertang, Mazrulhisham Abd Mansor in Sungai Lui and Zool Amali Hussin in Lenggeng.
Bersatu will contest three seats in Kuala Pilah, with Mohd Zuhaimi Md Yusof named for Juasseh, Megat Shahriman for Seri Menanti and Mohd Izaffi Istear Khan for Senaling.
In the Rembau parliamentary constituency, Dato’ Haji Mohd Nazree Mohd Yunus will contest Paroi, Akmal Noradzmi Abd Rahim will contest Kota, while Leevineshwaraan A/L Murugan has been named for Sri Tanjung.
For Port Dickson, Bersatu has selected Sheikh Junaidy Jamaludin for Bagan Pinang and Dato’ Haji Zamri Md Said for Linggi. Meanwhile, Fadhil Daud will contest Gemas under the Tampin parliamentary constituency.
The announcement marks the completion of Bersatu’s candidate list for the Negeri Sembilan election, with the party opting to use its own logo instead of contesting under the PN banner. - July 17, 2026
