JDT coach Xisco Munoz praised his team’s resilience after a 2-1 comeback victory over Kuching City FC, despite playing with 10 men for much of the second half.

ISKANDAR PUTERI: Johor Darul Ta’zim head coach Xisco Munoz lauded his team’s character after they fought back with 10 men to defeat Kuching City FC 2-1.

The Super League match at Sultan Ibrahim Stadium saw JDT fall behind to a Scott Woods goal in the 41st minute.

Munoz said his players showed great composure and determination after being reduced to 10 men following Natxo Insa’s 55th-minute red card.

He credited tactical adjustments at halftime for improving their performance and converting chances.

“The players stayed focused in difficult situations and reacted positively in the second half,” Munoz told reporters.

JDT’s comeback was sealed by goals from Ignacio Mendez in the 58th minute and Bergson da Silva in the 64th.

Meanwhile, Kuching City FC head coach Aidil Sharin Sahak praised his team’s effort and discipline despite the loss.
