MUNTINLUPA City has turned over eight electric vehicles to the city police as part of its push to make government operations more sustainable, Mayor Ruffy Biazon said on Monday.
The new patrol units were handed to the Muntinlupa City Police under the leadership of Chief Robert Domingo.
Biazon said the procurement “was started long before the Middle East conflict, but it further strengthened the importance of the city’s decision because of the continued increase in fuel prices.”
The vehicles are equipped with Battenburg markings for visibility, a toplight blinker system, and a public address system.
A charging station has been installed at the Muntinlupa police headquarters to help ensure the continuous operation of the units.
