- The body of a 14-year-old girl, identified as Lilly, was discovered in the Duffryn Park area of Blaina, south Wales, on Monday evening.
- Lilly had been reported missing after she was last seen in High Street, Blaina, at approximately 6.50pm on Saturday, 20 June.
- A 14-year-old boy from the Blaenau Gwent area has been arrested on suspicion of murder and is currently in police custody.
- Gwent Police have referred the incident to the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) in line with normal procedures.
- Police are continuing their inquiries and have urged the public not to speculate online, while community leaders and residents have expressed profound sadness.
