KUNAK: Police have arrested a foreigner on Saturday to assist in the investigation of a woman’s murder at a remote plantation on Jalan Tingkayu.
A team from the Kunak District Police Headquarters traced and detained the suspect at a nearby plantation following information provided by members of the public.
The arrest came after images of the male suspect circulated on Facebook and WhatsApp groups, with authorities believing he could assist in the investigation.

On Friday, a woman in her 40s of Visayan-Filipino nationality, who worked at the palm oil plantation, was found murdered with severe head injuries believed to have been inflicted multiple times using a sharp object.
