Liverpool attacker Diogo Jota can step up and fill the void left by Mohamed Salah.

The Egyptian winger will be absent for the next few weeks as he is at the African Cup of Nations.

As Salah looks to win an international trophy, ex-Reds midfielder Danny Murphy believes that Jota can shine in his absence.

After the Reds' 2-0 win over Arsenal in the FA Cup third round, Murphy told the BBC: This was the calmness of Jota. He's going to play a big role in the next few weeks with Salah being away."

The difference with the two squads, Liverpool's firepower is better," Murphy added.

[Darwin] Nunez doesn't stop getting in good areas and being an absolute pest to the opposition. He's got all the attributes you need to score more goals than he has.

He keeps you at length."
