TAWAU: Sabahans are urged not to be influenced by political games over the appointment of Tun Musa Aman as the 11th Yang di-Pertua Negeri of Sabah on Tuesday (17 Dec) because the matter went through the correct and legal process.

Political Secretary to the Minister of Finance, Datuk Rina Jainal said political parties do not need to resort to various propaganda to incite the people to criticise the appointment of Tun Musa, 73.

She said the appointment of the Yang di-Pertua Negeri Sabah is at the discretion of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong and in accordance with Article 1 of the Sabah Constitution for a period of four years starting January 1, 2025 to December 31, 2028.
