Kota Kinabalu: Head of State Tun Musa Aman and Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor attended the National Day and Sabah Day 2026 celebration at Dataran Bandaraya here today.
Hajiji, accompanied by his wife Datin Seri Juliah Salag, arrived at 7.25am and received a salute from the Guard of Honour before welcoming Musa and his wife Toh Puan Faridah Tussin.
The celebration began with the singing of Negaraku and Sabah Tanah Airku, followed by the Royal Salute and an inspection of the Guard of Honour by Musa.
The programme also featured the raising of the Jalur Gemilang and Sabah flag, recitation of the Rukun Negara pledge, choir performances and a parade involving the Jalur Gemilang, Sabah flag, flags of other states, contingents and vehicles.
Performances by the Sabah Cultural Board and Persembahan Aneka Warna also featured at the celebration, which concluded at about 10.30am.
