Ford has just showed off a new version of the electric Ford Mustang Mach-E called the Mustang Mach-E Rally. Here’s what’s new.

The Ford Mustang Mach-E Rally is not your average EV. It’s a rally-inspired powerhouse that pushes the boundaries of electric vehicle technology. Built on the foundation of the Mustang Mach-E GT powertrain, this beast boasts a dual-motor layout designed to deliver a jaw-dropping 650 lb.-ft. of torque and 480 horsepower. With this kind of power, off-road adventures have never been more electrifying.

Off-Road Prowess

To conquer dirt roads and rough terrains, the Mustang Mach-E Rally features a raised suspension, lifted by 20 millimeters compared to the Mustang Mach-E GT. This unique setup includes specially tuned springs and MagneRide shocks, ensuring a smooth and controlled ride even on the most challenging surfaces. With 385-millimeter front brake rotors equipped with red-painted Brembo®-branded calipers, you can trust in its stopping power.

Impressive Range and Fast Charging

Equipped with a high-capacity lithium-ion battery boasting a 91 kWh usable capacity, the Mustang Mach-E Rally targets an EPA-estimated range of 250 miles. Plus, it’s designed for quick and convenient charging, capable of going from 10 to 80% charge in approximately 36.5 minutes on a DC Fast Charger. This means more time for thrilling adventures and less time waiting around.

Rally-Ready Wheels and Protection

The Mustang Mach-E Rally’s gloss white 19-inch rally-style alloy wheels pay homage to Ford’s rally heritage. These wheels are paired with 235/55 R19 Michelin CrossClimate2 tires, ensuring excellent grip on loose surfaces. To safeguard your off-road expeditions, the vehicle comes with protective shielding for the front and rear motors, door cladding, and fender arches, minimizing the risk of paint chips. Dealer-installed styled mud flaps are also available to reduce debris spray.

Innovative Drive Mode

This mode enhances maneuverability, allowing for controlled slides and precise handling on loose terrain. The Mustang Mach-E Rally is equipped with Ford’s advanced technology, including the optional Ford BlueCruise hands-free highway driving system. BlueCruise 1.3 offers a more engaged driving experience with Lane Change Assist and In-Lane Repositioning, ensuring a safe and comfortable ride on highways.

Before making its debut, the Mustang Mach-E Rally underwent extensive testing on an all-new rally course at Ford’s Michigan Proving Ground. This course was meticulously designed to mimic real-world conditions, guaranteeing the vehicle’s durability and performance.

The Mustang Mach-E Rally’s bold design is a head-turner, featuring a dramatic rear spoiler inspired by the Focus® RS, contrasting accents, and a unique front splitter. It’s available in a range of vibrant colors, including Grabber Blue, Shadow Black, Eruption Green, and eye-catching Grabber Yellow, with extra cost options like Star White and Glacier Gray.
