Mutiara GRS holds Aidiladha ‘do’ for PwD trainees in Papar

PAPAR: Muafakat Titipan Amal Isteri Wakil Rakyat Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (Mutiara GRS) organisation held an Aidiladha celebration with charitable activities and visited the trainees at the Kimanis Training and Rehabilitation of Persons with Disabilities Complex (KLPOKU) on Monday.

The wife of Chief Minister, Datin Seri Juliah Salag, who is also Mutiara GRS President, officiated the event.

She also presented a RM2,000 donation from Mutiara GRS to the Kimanis KLPOKU Visitors Board and RM1,000 each to the Community Rehabilitation Organisation (PPDK) Papar and PPDK Membakut.

Juliah also handed over sponsored contributions from leaders and members of Mutiara GRS, which included sports equipment and washing machines, as well as cream buns donated by Kim Teck Cheong (KTC) Consolidated Berhad, to KLPOKU Kimanis.

Read more The event’s programme included a briefing by KLPOKU Supervisor Dayangku Suhaila Pg Suhaimi, performances by the trainees, lunch, and the distribution of goodie bags to 48 trainees.

Juliah and members of Mutiara GRS also visited the skills and vocational training classes attended by trainees from Sabah and Labuan.

Also present were State Department of Social Welfare Services Director Jais Asri, and the Deputy Director (Operations), Ali Hassan Kahar.
