Mutiara GRS treats 50 children for Chinese New Year

Kota Kinabalu: Some 50 children were treated to a 2025 Chinese New Year Celebration programme hosted by the Gabungan Rakyat Sabah Pertubuhan Muafakat Titipan Amal Isteri Wakil Rakyat (Mutiara GRS) at the Putara Ballroom, in Luyang, here, on Tuesday.

Chief Minister’s wife, Datuk Juliah Salag, who is also Mutiara GRS President, presented goodie bags and angpow (red packets) to the children from five schools around Kota Kinabalu.

AdvertisementJuliah said Mutiara GRS’ annual programme aims to reach out to selected children from five primary and secondary schools around Kota Kinabalu.

She said these schools were Kota Kinabalu High School, St. Francis Convent, SJK Shan Tao, Chung Hwa Kota Kinabalu and Sekolah Kebangsaan (Cina) Anglo Chinese.

“Mutiara GRS has planned several programmes to be implemented this year, including programmes to reach out to the people and women’s groups in selected state constituencies,” she said.
