Alrajhi Bank Malaysia has informed customers that its MY alrajhi mobile banking app will no longer support Huawei devices starting from 1 June 2026.
The bank said no immediate action is required at this stage. However, customers using Huawei devices are encouraged to plan ahead to avoid any disruption to their banking access once support ends.
What This Change Means For Customers
After 1 June 2026, customers will no longer be able to access MY alrajhi on Huawei devices. This change affects mobile banking access only and does not impact customers’ bank accounts or balances.
The bank did not cite regulatory changes or new legislation as the reason for the move. The announcement applies specifically to device support and takes effect from the stated date.
Option One: Switch To A Supported Device
Customers may continue using MY alrajhi by logging in on a new device that runs on a supported iOS or Android operating system.
Before switching, customers must deregister the MY alrajhi app on their existing Huawei device. This can be done by logging into the app, accessing the profile menu, selecting Privacy and security, and then choosing Manage mobile device. Once deregistration is completed, customers can log in on their new device as usual.
Option Two: Use Branches, ATMs, And Debit Card-i
Customers who do not switch devices may continue accessing banking services through Alrajhi Bank Malaysia branches or via ATMs using their debit card-i.
The debit card-i can also continue to be used for payments, allowing customers to manage day-to-day transactions without relying on the mobile app.
Option Three: Close Your Account
Customers who choose to close their account may contact Alrajhi Bank Malaysia’s Customer Care team at +603 2332 6000 or visit their nearest branch for assistance.

Alrajhi Bank Malaysia advised customers to take early action and choose the option that best suits their needs before 1 June 2026. Planning ahead can help ensure uninterrupted access to banking services when the change takes effect.
