Announced via Rapid KL’s Facebook page, the update promises a fast, user-friendly experience by eliminating the need to queue at LRT, MRT, or KTM station counters. As the My50 pass is linked to MyKad and relies on NFC technology, renewals will likely require an NFC-enabled smartphone, similar to topping up a Touch 'n Go card via the TNG eWallet app.

Currently, the My50 pass offers unlimited travel for 30 days on Rapid KL services, including the MRT, Sunway Line, LRT, KL Monorail, BRT, MRT feeder buses, and Rapid KL buses.

With full digital access via the PULSE app, the pass is more convenient than ever for both regular commuters and visitors. image is not available This move is part of Rapid KL’s broader effort to enhance user experience and digitise public transport services, especially for those who prefer managing their travel through smartphones. The update also aligns with earlier improvements introduced to the PULSE app in early 2025, which featured enhanced route planning, a cleaner user interface, and integration with travel rewards.
