The lessons learnt from my work-life experiences for the past seven decades is that whether in business or in war, the ability to react quickly & adapt is critical, and it's becoming even more so as technology & disruptive forces increase the pace of change. That requires new ways to communicate and work together. In today world's, creativity is a collaborative endeavour. Innovation is a team effort.

As such, I am pleased to be given the opportunity to collaborate with many seasoned and talented professional towards implementing the mission and objectives of the newly registered Persatuan Aeroangkasa MYAEROSATU (PPM-009-10-14022025). It is nostalgia, that I felt a sentimental longing for the past working in a voluntary management team with some who had been involved and currently are still active in business relating to aerospace industry. This nostalgia promotes the effective states that mobilise the self for action.

I found the most compelling evidence that nostalgia is a future-oriented emotional experience is its effects on goal-related cognition, since the goals of MYAEROSATU are about the future. Surely, its impact on goals may be the strongest in our interpersonal relations.

Evidently, MYAEROSATU Deputy Chairman, Dato' Mustiran Abd Kadir, an innovative entrepreneur that I've known when we together working together at Malaysia Airlines (MAS). He is known in the industry for providing excellence customer service & currently served as the Executive Chairman & CEO of TransAsia Services managing ground handling business and operations in Malaysia & the region. He is active in the advisory capacity with the Malay Consultative Council and concurrently heading the Aviation & Aerospace Cluster. (transasiaservices.com; www.mympm.org)

Another two top office bearers of MYAEROSATU are the talented Secretary Dzul Bahrin Asmawi & dynamic Treasurer Najmi Rahimi Muzni who are my juniors at MAS then. I believed eventhough, nostalgia involves reflecting on past experiences and relationships but it surely motivates effective values and behaviours that will result in improving people's future lives and organisational development.
