Well, folks, it seems MYAirline decided to throw in the towel faster than a passenger running for the last available overhead storage space.
Less than a year in the sky, and they're already waving the white flag, citing financial troubles.
But hey, at least they're working on a comeback – no promises though, it's like telling your in-laws you'll visit soon and praying they forget about it.
Now, here's where it gets funnier than the flight safety instructions: they didn't even mention refunds!
It's like telling your friend, "I'm broke, but don't ask for that ten ringgit I owe you."
And they want customers to send enquiries to a generic Customer Care email address? Really? Good luck with that, it's probably monitored as closely as the airplane bathroom.
And let's not forget the CEO's departure – health reasons, they say. Yeah, right, Rayner Teo probably needed a good escape plan before this airline went down faster than a lead balloon.
But don't worry, they've got a new CEO, Stuart Cross, stepping in as if he's been waiting in the wings for this moment. It's like an emergency landing, but with a parachute already strapped to your back.
In a twist of irony, they claim they're finalizing "strategic partnerships" with some mystery partners.
I can't help but wonder if these partners are as mysterious as Bigfoot – you hear about them, but no one's ever seen them.
Oh, and just to keep the comedy going, the Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia (CAAM) decided to extend their Air Operator Certificate (AOC) for another 24 months. Talk about mixed signals! It's like getting a participation trophy after failing miserably at the company's picnic sack race.
So, if you were planning to fly MYAirline anytime soon, well, you might want to consider hitchhiking instead.
They say hope flies, but in this case, it's more like hope's stuck at the departure gate, watching the airline's reliability take a nosedive.
MyAirline is not really MY kind of airline.
Safe travels, everyone!
