Mystery solved? MAGA woman linked to mysterious Trump ‘great daughter’ post responds

The mystery woman in a photo posted by Donald Trump over the weekend has been identified, but confusion about the president’s bizarre Truth Social post remains.

Trump prompted confusion online ahead of Father’s Day when he shared an image of an unidentified blonde woman, accompanied by the message, “Great daughter, My Honor!!! President DJT.”

After much speculation, it appears the woman in the photo is Margo Catsimatidis, the 74-year-old mother of MAGA socialite and Manhattan Republican Party Chairwoman Andrea Catsimatidis, 36, and wife of the billionaire Trump donor John Catsimatidis, 77.

Andrea Catsimatidis, who attended Trump’s 80th UFC birthday last weekend, replied to Trump Sunday evening on X and shared an image of his Truth Social post. “Thank you Mr President! Thank you for inviting me to your birthday party, it was an amazing tribute filled with so much American pride,” she said, without directly addressing the confusion. “And thank you for everything you are doing for America!”

The photograph of Margo Catsimatidis appears to have been taken at Camp David during the Clinton administration, and the seal of Arkansas—the home state of former President Bill Clinton—is visible on the couch she is sitting on.

Trump was at Camp David this weekend, according to his schedule.

The Catsimatidis family’s “political involvement is legendary in New York,” according to their website. “They have hosted dinners in their home for Presidents, Vice Presidents, Governors, and politicians from all levels of government, as well as being instrumental in the building of the chapel at the Presidential retreat at Camp David.”

The White House did not respond to The Independent’s request for comment.

Andrea Catsimatidis was married to Richard Nixon’s grandson, Christopher Cox Nixon, from 2011 to 2014. She endorsed Trump in 2020 and 2024 and has frequently been pictured with the president. Her father, the owner of New York City grocery stores Gristedes Foods, donated $515,000 to Trump’s 2020 presidential campaign.

Trump’s post fueled further speculation and concern about the president’s mental acuity.

“Who the hell is it and why does it seem like he thinks it’s his daughter?” said political commentator Brian Krassenstein, a fervent Trump critic. “One of the main signs of dementia is confusing people for family members,” he added.

Another X user joked about the president having dementia, writing, “When dementia gets the better of your secret other family…”

The president’s Truth Social posts have previously prompted concern from critics. Democrats called for a comprehensive cognitive assessment following Trump’s threats to destroy Iranian civilization in April.

Rep. Jamie Raskin wrote to White House Physician Captain Sean Barbabella and urged him to share the results with members of Congress, citing what the congressman called warning signs that the president “has been exhibiting signs consistent with dementia and cognitive decline.”
