PETALING JAYA: The Federal Territories Pardons Board confirmed the halving of former Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak’s 12- year prison sentence, saying that he will be released earlier on August 23 2028.

Malay Mail reported that Najib’s RM210 million fine was also reduced to RM50 million by the Pardons Board, with his early release determining his payment of the fine.

However, failure to pay the fine will result in the delay of his release to August 23 2029.
