The former Malaysian prime minister, Datuk Seri Mohd Najib Tun Abdul Razak, has been posting images of himself on social media in the past few days dressed as “government persons” from the post-independence era.
These postings puzzled netizens who don’t know what he is up to. However, his current posting on Instagram had explained it all. I bet that none of us guessed it right! The former Malaysian prime minister announced that he is now changing his field from a politician to an actor.
According to Datuk Seri Mohd Najib Tun Abdul Razak, he landed the part without having to go through auditions, a process that normal actors have to partake in. By sharing the photo, he revealed that he was involved in the filming of the drama Tunjang, in which he was portraying his own late father, Tun Abdul Razak, who served as Malaysia’s second prime minister.
What makes the Pekan MP’s wig noteworthy is how it has changed how he looks from his typical appearance. Najib, like his late father, wore more caps a la James Bond in several scenes in the drama.
Netizens have flooded the sharing of photos taken while participating in the drama with numerous remarks. On average, they discussed Najib’s wig, and they also acknowledged that they couldn’t help laughing.
The former sixth prime minister also made light of the fact that he had read online users’ remarks in which they claimed to be ‘eager’ to see the wig he was sporting. Lucky for him, the wig did not blow away in the wind.
The Tunjang drama has not yet been given any information because it is still in the production stage. We can all watch Datuk Seri Najib’s accomplished performance in the drama if the show’s filming goes without a hitch.
