Napoli’s official TikTok account posted and then quickly deleted a video mocking their own player, Victor Osimhen.
The clip showed the striker’s penalty miss from their goalless draw against Bologna on Sunday, with a sped-up voice dubbed over the top.
It was captioned “Gimme penalty, please” as Osimhen appeared to appeal to the referee for a spot-kick before it was awarded.
His agent, Roberto Calenda, issued a statement on Tuesday night, saying the video was “not acceptable” and that they “reserve the right to take legal action and any useful initiative to protect Victor”.
Osimhen scored 31 goals across all competitions for Napoli last season as they stormed to the Serie A title.
