NASA astronauts Jessica Meir and Chris Williams carried out a seven-hour spacewalk to repair a robotic arm on the International Space Station (ISS), the US space agency said on Tuesday.
The astronauts replaced a roughly 90-kilogram joint on the arm during the extravehicular activity, NASA said.
Robotic arms on the ISS are used for tasks including docking spacecraft.
It was the second spacewalk for Williams, the fifth for Meir and the 280th in the history of ISS operations.
