  • A lottery player has forfeited a £10.6 million Lotto jackpot after failing to claim the prize within the 180-day deadline.
  • The winning ticket was purchased in Bexley, south-east London, on 4 October 2025, but the deadline passed last Thursday.
  • The substantial sum will now be donated to National Lottery-supported good causes, adding to the £33 million raised weekly for such projects.
  • Allwyn, the National Lottery operator, stated it is highly unusual for a prize of this magnitude to go unclaimed.
  • Currently, five other 'major' National Lottery prizes, each worth over £3.2 million, remain unclaimed across the UK.
