- Exmoor National Park has launched a new pilot scheme, “Pay with Exmoor Care”, to reward tourists for environmentally positive actions.
- Until 30 September, visitors can receive a 20 per cent discount at Exmoor National Park Centres by demonstrating actions such as litter picking or using public transport.
- Other eligible actions include recording wildlife and sharing positive messages about caring for the National Park on social media.
- The scheme aims to encourage responsible and regenerative tourism, increase awareness of environmental care, and boost footfall in National Park Centres during the summer.
- Inspired by Copenhagen's CopenPay scheme, this initiative is the first of its kind in a UK National Park, with potential for expansion in 2027.
