• The Celebrity Traitors and Clarkson's Farm emerged as the major winners at the National Television Awards, with the BBC spin-off crowned best reality competition and comedian Alan Carr receiving the special recognition award.
• Jeremy Clarkson celebrated Clarkson's Farm winning the reality docuseries accolade, confirming he is currently in remission following prostate cancer treatment while also highlighting the recent theft of over £2,000 worth of breeding ewes from his farm.
• Sir David Attenborough was named best TV presenter and used an acceptance speech read on his behalf to urge viewers to recognise humanity's pressing responsibility to protect and conserve the natural world.
• This Morning reclaimed the daytime television award after missing out in recent years, whilst Sheridan Smith drama I Fought The Law was awarded best new drama and Emmerdale secured best serial drama.
• Additional notable accolades across the evening were awarded to Strictly Come Dancing for best talent show, Gogglebox for factual entertainment, Mrs Brown's Boys for best comedy, and Vicky McClure for best drama performance in Trigger Point.
