Navotas extends incentive to Grade 10 completers

NAVOTAS Mayor John Rey Tiangco said on Sunday that the local government has distributed graduation incentives to Navoteño students who graduated from the city’s public schools for the school year 2025-2026.

A total of 3,776 Grade 6 completers received P500 each while 1,986 Grade 12 completers were granted P1,000 each, Tiangco said.

Starting this year, Grade 10 completers were also included in the city’s graduation incentive program by virtue of an ordinance. As a result, some 2,722 Grade 10 completers received P1,000 each.

Meanwhile, graduates of the Navotas Polytechnic College will receive P1,500 following their graduation ceremony later this year, according to the city government.

The local chief executive said the city remains committed to investing in education and recognizing the hard work of students.

“Education is one of the most important investments we can make for the future of our city. Through these incentives, we hope to encourage our students to continue striving for excellence and help ease the financial challenges faced by their families,” Tiangco said.

He added that the city government aims to ensure that no learner is left behind because of financial difficulties.

“We want our students to focus on achieving their dreams and completing their studies. The city government will continue to provide programs that support their academic journey and overall development,” he added.

The distribution of incentives is part of the ongoing efforts to motivate students and strengthen educational support programs for Navoteño learners, the city’s Public Information Office said.
