K-POP powerhouse NCT 127 is returning to the Philippines as the group brings its fifth concert tour, “Neo City: The Redline,” to Manila on Dec. 12 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.
The Manila show was confirmed as part of the group’s newly announced world tour schedule, which includes stops in Seoul, Jakarta, Hong Kong, Singapore, Saitama, Bangkok and Manila.
Fans, collectively known as NCTzens, can expect the concert to follow the release of the group’s highly anticipated seventh full-length album, “Blingy,” scheduled to drop on Aug. 27.
The comeback will feature five active members — Taeyong, Johnny, Yuta, Jaehyun and Haechan — who are also expected to headline the world tour. Members Doyoung and Jungwoo are currently fulfilling South Korea’s mandatory military service and are not expected to participate in the upcoming promotions and concerts.
Debuting in 2016, NCT 127 is the Seoul-based unit of the larger K-pop project NCT, composed of more than 20 members, performing across multiple subunits. Over the years, the group has earned international recognition for its signature experimental sound that blends hip-hop, R&B and electronic music.
Among the group’s biggest hits are “Cherry Bomb,” “Kick It” and “2 Baddies,” songs that have helped establish NCT 127 as one of the leading acts in K-pop.
The upcoming Manila concert marks NCT 127’s return to the Philippines after their successful “Neo City: The Unity” show held in January 2024, where they performed before thousands of Filipino fans.
Local promoter PULP Live World has yet to release ticket prices, seat plans and ticket-selling dates. In its announcement, the promoter encouraged fans to stay tuned for further updates regarding the concert.
Additional details, including ticketing information and seat maps, are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
