The ICAR-National Dairy Research Institute (NDRI), Karnal, has earned global recognition by securing the 16th rank in India and 650th worldwide in the Career Outcome Rankings released by Global University Rankings, London, an independent organisation that evaluates universities on multiple performance parameters.

NDRI Director Dr Dheer Singh said the institute’’s strong performance in the Career Outcome Rankings reflected its commitment to producing industry-ready graduates and strengthening links between academic research and the global dairy sector.

“This recognition highlights our commitment to graduate success, world-class training, and bridging the gap between academic research and global industry demands. I congratulate our incredible faculty, students, and alumni, who continue to make us proud on the world stage,” said Dr Singh.

Unlike conventional university rankings that primarily assess research output, the Career Outcome Rankings focus on graduate employability, professional achievements of alumni, industry engagement and the real-world impact of academic training.

Dr Singh said the recognition reaffirmed NDRI’’s emphasis on student success and industry-oriented education.

“Our work in dairy science and bovine nutrition, international placements achieved by our students, shows that our graduates contribute meaningfully worldwide. This achievement honours the hard work of our faculty and students, as well as the support of our stakeholders,” he said.

He added that the institute would continue to focus on innovation in agricultural extension, sustainable farming and dairy research.

The director thanked the entire NDRI fraternity for its contribution and called for continued teamwork to further improve graduate outcomes.
