Aston Villa captain Jack Grealish is pushing to be fit for the Liverpool game this weekend.
Grealish hobbled off against Manchester City and was absent for the Carabao Cup clash with Wolves with a calf problem.
Villa boss Dean Smith said: Jack is okay. He's pushing to be fit for Saturday.
He's responded really well to treatment. He was here today.
"He's getting there. I am very, very hopeful that will be fit for the weekend."
