Frances Neagley was always more than just Jack Reacher’s backup, and now, she is getting an opportunity to prove it. Come September, fans will see Neagley step out of the big guy’s shadow with an Amazon Prime Video ‘Reacher’ spinoff series named after her. Announced in October 2024, the spinoff series will premiere around the same time as the finale of ‘Reacher’ season 4.
Maria Sten returns as the fan-favourite character. Alan Ritchson, who plays Jack Reacher, will also appear as a guest star in the series.
“This story is so so special, folks. I cannot wait for you all to see what we’ve cooked up! I hope you’re ready cause it’s gonna be a wild one,” Sten wrote on Instagram in June 2025, after filming wrapped on the series.
Nick Santora and Nicholas Wootton serve as executive producers and co-showrunners. Lee Child, Don Granger, Sam Hill, Adam Higgs, and Lisa Kussner serve as executive producers. The upcoming series is a joint production between Paramount Television Studios and Amazon MGM Studios.

What to expect from the ‘Reacher’ spinoff series?
The spinoff series centres on Frances Neagley, a private investigator in Chicago and former military protégé of Jack Reacher in the Army’s 110th Special Investigations Unit. When she learns that a beloved friend from her past has been killed in a suspicious accident, she becomes determined to seek justice. Armed with skills learned from Reacher and her time with the unit, she sets out to uncover the truth herself, even if it means jeopardising her life.
