Kota Kinabalu: Early awareness on job scams needs to be raised among the community, said Foreign Affairs Deputy Minister Datuk Mohamad Alamin.

He said although Sabah has a small number of cases which is 42, the public needs to be aware so as not to be easily deceived by employment fraud involving the 18 to 29-year-old group.

“‘Job scams are rampant now and many people are caught by offers of working abroad with good salary, high allowance, free ticket, hotel and food, and fall for it.

“People need to be careful so as not to be deceived because if they get caught, all kinds of things would happen that endanger their lives.
