PAPAR: Papar Member of Parliament Ahmad Hassan reiterated his call to the government to take the tension in the South China Sea seriously following a series of Chinese military incursions into state-owned areas.
Ahmad, who is also the Supreme Council Member (AMT) of Parti Warisan Sabah (Warisan), said it was necessary because China’s actions in the South China Sea clearly did not respect the country’s sovereignty.
He said the tension that occurred in Taiwan was added when the military activities of the People Liberation Army (PLA) were carried out in the country’s straits to have a significant impact on the situation in the South China Sea.
