MEMBAKUT: The database for asnaf (tithe recipients) needs to be updated to ensure that none are sidelined from assistance provided by the government.
To this end, State Science, Technology and Innovation Minister Datuk Mohd Arifin Arif urged customary leaders and Village Development and Security Committee (JPKK) to cooperate with the Sabah Islamic Religious Affairs Department (Jheains) to identify and update the database from time to time.
“They (customary leaders and JPKK) need to create a database with Jheains to update the recipient data so that those qualified to receive assistance are not left out,” he said.
