Amid growing outrage over the alleged NEET UG paper leak and irregularities in the examination process, activists of the student organisation Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) staged a massive protest outside the headquarters of the National Testing Agency (NTA) in Delhi on Wednesday, demanding justice for students and accountability in the examination system.
The protest was organised against repeated discrepancies in national level examinations and what it described as a serious attack on the future of lakhs of students. During the demonstration, the Delhi Police allegedly used force against protesting activists and students before detaining several of them.
The student body said the alleged paper leak in the highly competitive NEET UG examination had raised serious concerns over the credibility and transparency of the country’s examination system. It argued that such incidents undermine the hard work and trust of the students who spend years preparing for these examinations.
The ABVP also demanded a fair, transparent and time-bound investigation into the matter, urging the authorities to make all findings public so that the entire network involved in the malpractice could be exposed.
