SEREMBAN: Negeri Sembilan Menteri Besar Datuk Ismail Lasim has confirmed that the proclamation concerning the removal of Tuanku Muhriz Tuanku Munawir as Yang di-Pertuan Besar was unanimously approved by all members of the State Executive Council (MMK) at its meeting on Sept 15.
He said all state Exco members unanimously discussed and decided on the Instrument of Proclamation at a meeting last Tuesday.
“Today, I would like to confirm that the Proclamation had indeed been discussed and unanimously approved by all members of the State Executive Council (EXCO). The gazettement process has already been initiated, with the EXCO instructing the State Secretary (SUK) to proceed with it,” he told reporters after attending the Negeri Sembilan Foundation Outstanding Graduate Awards ceremony here today.
It was reported yesterday that the state government had collectively decided that the proclamation concerning the removal of Tuanku Muhriz Tuanku Munawir as Yang Dipertuan Besar Negeri Sembilan was valid.
In a statement, the state government said the matter was decided at the State Executive Council meeting chaired by Ismail last Tuesday.
