NEGERI Sembilan Ruler Tuanku Muhriz Tuanku Munawir, expressed his heartfelt gratitude on Friday for the overwhelming support from various groups, following a public gathering at Masjid Tuanku Muhriz in Jempol.
During the event, the Sultan, accompanied by his two sons—Tunku Besar Seri Menanti Tunku Ali Redhauddin and Tunku Zain Al-’Abidin—joined approximately 1,500 worshippers for a special Solat Hajat (prayer) session at the mosque.
After the prayer, Tuanku Muhriz distributed contributions to children and attended a banquet before receiving a memorandum from the President of the Otai Reformasi Negeri Sembilan Organisation (Profansi), Muhamad Kamel Yassin.
"Thank you," Tuanku Muhriz said succinctly to the gathered supporters outside the mosque before departing the event.
Meanwhile, Datuk Seri Megat D Shahriman Zaharuddin, the Chief Secretariat of the Sultan’s Support Group, confirmed that 12 non-governmental organisations (NGOs) had gathered at the mosque as a sign of loyalty and allegiance to the Sultan.
"The spirit shown today proves that we are always with Tuanku and with the state. The presence of these 12 NGOs is a positive initiative to express our support," he said in a statement to the press.
He further emphasised the importance of resolving any ongoing political disputes with tact and diplomacy, ensuring the continued harmony of the state and the well-being of its people.
The show of support from the NGOs follows the recent political developments in Negeri Sembilan, with several organisations submitting memorandums to express their allegiance to Tuanku Muhriz amid the ongoing governance issues in the state. - May 2, 2026
