Frequent travellers usually have at least one product they cannot leave home without. And while I am not on the level of flyers who use multiple facial sheet masks at 30,000 feet, I am always looking for something new that will make me feel a little more put together on the road.
Home and body product company Neom’s mission is to deliver “micro moments” of wellbeing throughout the day, powered by 100 per cent natural fragrances. I tested out a few of their travel-sized products, along with some of their other mood-enhancing items, to see if they really did make me feel more relaxed and at ease.
Some of the products below also come as part of Neom’s Travel Sets, which are both currently on sale for £40 and also includes an exclusive travel bag as part of the deal.

The Sleep Pen and the Calm Pen 12ml
Why we love it
- Lightweight
- Calming scents
Take note
- Lasts only a few hours
Neom has several rollerball application pens, the size of a small lip balm at 12ml, which can slip into a pocket or your carry-on.
The Sleep Pen provides aromatherapy benefits to help you get in the mood for a good night’s sleep, with a calming scent that’s ideal for helping you doze off mid-flight or get some rest ahead of an early morning trip to the airport. The pen’s natural essential oils include patchouli, which helps you relax and unwind, a soothing geranium scent, and a fragrant lavender aroma.
I put the Sleep Pen on my pulse points just before getting into bed, and enjoyed the aromas as I was nodding off to sleep.

The Calm Pen helps in moments when you need to de-stress, letting you focus on the scent of lavender, Roman chamomile, and sweet orange when applied to pulse points. I used this pen before boarding a busy rush-hour Tube service and felt the scent gave be something to fixate and ground myself on amid the sweaty crowd.
Both pens’ formulas are light and not too oily, but I found they lasted only a few hours. That being said, this was preferable, especially when already wearing a perfume, so the aromas did not overpower the scent I was already wearing. With its compact size, it’s easy to reapply when you need it most throughout the day.

Perfect Night’s Sleep Magnesium Body Butter 200ml
Why we love it
- Thick texture
- Calming lavender scent
My usual body moisturiser routine consists of a very basic, unscented cream, so when I test a product with added oils and aromas, I am always wary of how it will sit and feel on my skin. Neom’s Perfect Night’s Sleep Magnesium body butter uses a blend of 16 essential oils and 99 per cent natural ingredients, so I knew I wasn’t smothering my skin with synthetic compounds. The shea butter cream has a thick, luxurious texture, which I prefer in a night cream because it helps lock in hydration overnight. The next morning, my arms and legs felt smoother and deeply hydrated.
The lavender scent also made me feel calm and relaxed during my nighttime wind-down routine, which I felt contributed to a good night’s sleep.

This cream packs 16 essential oils, while 99 per cent of its ingredients are natural. The moisturiser finishes with aloe vera, grapeseed oil and coconut oil, and includes 88mg of magnesium per 5ml of product, which has a range of health benefits, including helping muscles relax.

Great Day Magnesium Body Butter 30ml
Why we love it
- Zingy mint scent
- Lightweight morning moisturiser
I tested the travel-sized version of Neom’s Great Day Magnesium Body Butter, a blend of nourishing ingredients including shea butter, aloe vera, mango seed butter, and coconut oil. Compared to the nighttime magnesium body butter, this moisturiser has a looser texture, which is ideal for the morning as it absorbs faster.
Its wild mint and mandarin aroma is zingy and refreshing, awakening my senses before the day starts. I find herbal scents make me feel fresh and alert, especially the mint’s menthol, which creates a cooling sensation on the body.

Super Shower Power Body Wash 50ml
Why we love it
- Refreshing essential oils
Take note
- Doesn't lather too many suds
Before I lathered myself in the Great Day Magnesium Body Butter in the morning, I tried out the travel-sized Super Shower Power Body Wash. Like the body butter, the body wash has several refreshing essential oils, such as spearmint, rosemary, and eucalyptus, giving me a morning energy boost.
The formula created a light, soapy lather, which did make me squeeze out more, as I prefer more suds while washing.

Happiness Scented Candle (1 Wick) 185g
Why we love it
- 100 per cent natural wax
- Clean, citrus scent
Take note
- A little on the pricey side
While a candle certainly isn’t in my travel essential bag, lighting one at home after returning from being away is a little mood-boosting ritual. Candles help me clear away the stale air that has accumulated and give my living room a refresh.

Neom’s Happiness Scented Candle is made with 100 per cent naturally derived wax and 10 essential oils, including neroli, mimosa, and lemon. The citrus scent took about half an hour to become noticeable, but once the fragrance was released, it left my living room smelling fresh.
