  • Nestle has reported the theft of over twelve tonnes of its new KitKat range, comprising 413,793 chocolate bars.
  • The truck carrying the confectionery departed from central Italy but failed to reach its scheduled destination in Poland.
  • Both the vehicle and the substantial quantity of KitKat products remain missing and unaccounted for.
  • Nestle confirmed in a statement on Sunday that it is “working closely with local authorities and supply chain partners to investigate” the major heist.
  • The company assured consumers that there are “no concerns for customer safety”, and that the overall supply of KitKats will not be affected.
