Dozens of delegates walked out of the UN General Assembly hall as Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu took the podium in New York. “If there are any other moral cowards who haven’t yet left this hall, please do so now,” Netanyahu said.
Before Netanyahu's speech, Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas gave a virtual address and accused Israel of a malicious scheme to drive Palestinians out of Gaza and the West Bank.
Netanyahu delivered a defiant address, saying attacking Iran “was one of the easiest decisions I've ever had to make.” The Israeli leader insisted Israel has no choice but to win.
Netanyahu thanked President Donald Trump during his address, describing him as Israel's greatest partner. He said they worked together launching the war in Iran “to save civilization.”
The prime minister said accusing Israel of genocide “is the biggest lie of the century.” He went on to say, “Israel didn’t commit genocide; Israel prevented genocide.”
